Applications are invited from the interested candidates to enroll for the Ph.D. Programme in Arabic & Persian. The selection procedure should be followed as per UGC norms and the schedule as below. All subsequent notifications regarding the same will also be notified in the notice board of the department.

• Number of Seats :
  25 in both Arabic & Persian (Total - 25). Reservation policy as per state and central Govt. will be followed.
• Eligibility : Master Degree in relevant subject from a UGC recognized University.
• Last date for submission of Application Forms : 11th March, 2014 (Tuesday)
• Application Form is available at www.caluniv.ac.in and duly filled-in form along with a challan, before the payment, it is to be endorsed by the HOD, which accompanied by a one-page research proposal and copies of M.A. mark sheet and NET / SET / M.Phil., certificate (if applicable) to be submitted at the office of HOD latest by the date shown above.
• Display of the list of eligible candidates : 31st March, 2014 (Monday).
• Date of Written Research Eligibility Test (WRET) : 16th April, 2014 at 12:00 Noon (Wednesday).
  Syllabus of WRET & ORET will be the same as UGC / NET Examination in Arabic & Persian.
  Structure of WRET : 40 multiple-choice question, carrying two marks each and no negetive marking.
  Total Marks : 80.
  Duration : one hour.
• Display of the list of successful WRET candidates : 29th April, 2014
• Date of Oral Research Eligibility Test (ORET) : 8th May, 2014 at 12:00 Noon (Tuesday).
  Total Marks : 20
• Display of the list of successful candidates Eligible for Admission to the Ph.D. Programme : 23rd June, 2014 (Monday).
• Tentative date of commencement of Ph.D. course work : 1st week of August, 2014.
